The New Enlightenment Movement was essentially a"new philosophical"enlightenment,which aimed to save the country from national crisis through the mobilization of national defense through Marxist philosophy.Marxist philosophy played an important role in awakening the people,interpreting reality,and saving the nation from na-tional difficulties during the New Enlightenment Movement.During the New Enlightenment,there was a debate be-tween"new philosophers"and liberals and cultural conservatives,proposing different views on the connotation and status of"new philosophy",its role in society and life,and the sinicization of Marxist philosophy,further deepe-ning our understanding of Marxist philosophy.New philosophers believe that Marxism should be combined with tra-ditional Chinese culture,and have initially proposed the idea of"two combinations".The enlightenment of"new philosophy"clarified the development direction of Chinese Marxist philosophy,cultivated a mature team of Marxist philosophical theory workers,formed a series of theoretical achievements in Chinese Marxist philosophy,and pro-moted the maturity of Mao Zedong Thought.
