摘要
大麦黄矮病毒(barley yellow dwarf virus,BYDV)-PAV株系是引起我国小麦黄矮病流行的重要病原,玉米蚜(Rhopalosiphum maidis Fitch)是陕北农田蚜害的优势种之一,在玉米与小麦轮作的条件下,黄矮病原极有可能对玉米蚜的适合度产生直接或间接影响.基于此,本研究通过构建玉米蚜的生命表,利用两性生命表软件分析种群动态参数的变化,以评估BYDV-PAV株系侵染小麦对玉米蚜适合度的影响.结果表明:与健康植株相比较,小麦品种XN979感染BYDV-PAV病毒之后,显著提高了玉米蚜的净增殖率、内禀增长率、周限增长率参数,并有效提高了其存活率与生命周期;未携带病毒的禾谷缢管蚜取食之后,却显著降低了玉米蚜的种群动态参数,并且其存活率曲线呈现急剧下降的趋势.因此,BYDV-PAV病毒侵染小麦可对玉米蚜的适合度产生积极影响.研究为完整解析不同作物轮作过程中植物病毒BYDV-PAV株系介导的蚜虫与小麦的互作规律提供了重要线索,也可为陕北农田蚜害以及黄矮病的防控提供实验数据支撑.
Abstract
The barley yellow dwarf virus(BYDV)-PAV strain is a major virus causing the epidemic of wheat yellow dwarf disease in China,and the corn leaf aphid(Rhopalosiphum maidis Fitch)is one of the dominant aphid species in farmland in northern Shaanxi Province.During its host transformation,the yellow dwarf pathogen is highly likely to have direct or indirect impact on its fitness,however,the effects of BYDV on the fitness of the non-host insects is underdetermined.Therefore,this study focused on building a life table of corn leaf aphids and evaluated the ef-fects of BYDV-PAV strain infection on the fitness of corn leaf aphids through changes in population dynamics parameters using the TWOSEX-MSChart software.The results showed that compared with healthy plants,wheat variety XN979 infected with BYDV-PAV significantly increased the intrinsic natural increase rate(r),net reproductive rate(R0),and finite increase rate(λ),and significantly improved its survival rate and life span.After feeding on the grain aphid without carrying the virus,the population dynamics parameters of the Rhopalosiphum maidis were significantly reduced,and its survival rate curve showed a sharp downward trend.Therefore,infection of wheat with BYDV-PAV virus can have a positive impact on the fitness of Rhopalosiphum maidis.The present study provides important clues for the complete analysis of the interaction between aphids and wheat mediated by plant virus BYDV-PAV strains during different crop rotations,and it also provides experimental data for the prevention and control of aphid infestation and yellow dwarf disease in farmlands in northern Shaanxi Province.
