Transient response of buried cable under electromagnetic pulse of high altitude nuclear explosion
High altitude nuclear electromagnetic pulse(HEMP)can be coupled with buried cables, resulting in transient response.Aiming at the transient response of buried cables under HEMP,the time-frequency characteristics of HEMP are analyzed. Then the coupling formula between the electromagnetic field and cable is given, and the coupling relationship between them is clarified. Finally, the transient response of buried cable under different soil composition, cable burial depth and radiation state is simulated based on the electromagnetic simulation software Gprmax. The results show that Gprmax is an effective method to analyze the transient response of buried cables under HEMP,and has reference significance for the protection of HEMP and the analysis of electromagnetic compatibility question of other high-power electromagnetic pulse.
