Salt poetry in the past dynasties of Yancheng is not only an important material for studying the history and culture of Yancheng,but also the treasure of salt culture and Chinese classical literature.It has a long history,a large number of famous writers,famous works,all kinds of styles,wide themes,diverse styles,and unique literary,historical,social and other values.By combing and analyzing the salt poetry of the past dynasties in Yancheng,this paper discusses the characteristics of the devel-opment course,cultural connotation and artistic styles of salt poetry in the history of Yancheng,and expounds the contemporary value and significance of salt poetry,hoping to contribute to the development of salt culture and local culture in Yancheng.
