父母对幼儿数学学习的年龄期望与幼儿数感能力的关系:家庭数学活动的中介作用*

以221名4~6岁幼儿及其家长为研究对象,就父母对幼儿数学学习的年龄期望、幼儿数感能力和家庭数学活动进行调查发现,4~5岁组幼儿的父母比5~6岁组幼儿的父母更期望幼儿能早一些掌握数学技能,但开展家庭复杂数学活动的频率显著低于5~6岁组幼儿的父母,4~5岁组幼儿的简单数感能力和复杂数感能力水平显著低于5~6岁组幼儿;在控制了幼儿月龄的影响后,父母对幼儿简单数学技能学习的年龄期望对幼儿简单数感能力的直接效应显著,父母对幼儿复杂数学技能学习的年龄期望对幼儿复杂数感能力的直接效应不显著;家庭简单数学活动在父母对幼儿简单数学技能学习的年龄期望与幼儿简单数感能力的关系中起部分中介作用,家庭复杂数学活动在父母对幼儿复杂数学技能学习的年龄期望与幼儿复杂数感能力的关系中起完全中介作用.据此,建议帮助父母建立对幼儿数学学习的合理年龄期望,在日常生活中有效开展家庭数学活动.
Abstract
Taking 221 preschoolers aged 4- 6 and their parents as research subjects, this study investigated parental age expecta-tions on young children’s numeracy learning, young children’s number sense ability and home numeracy activities. The results show that: parents of children aged 4- 5 expect young children to start math learning at younger age than those of children aged 5- 6, but the frequency of conducting complex math activities is significantly lower than that of parents of children aged 5- 6. Children aged 5- 6 perform significantly better simple and complex number sense ability than children aged 4- 5. After control-ling the impact of the age of the moon, parental age expectations on simple number sense learning have a significant positive cor-relation with children’s simple number sense ability, while parental age expectations on complex sense learning have no direct impact on children’s complex number sense ability. Home simple numeracy activities play a partial- mediation role in the rela-tionship between parental age expectations on simple math skills and children’s simple number sense ability. Home complex nu-meracy activities play a complete mediation role in the relationship between parental age expectations on complex math skills and children’s complex number sense ability. It is suggested that parents should be helped to establish reasonable age expecta-tions on children’s numeracy learning and carry out effective home numeracy activities in daily life.
