Cordyceps Sinensis is a chamber music composed by young composer Fang Dongqing at the end of 2014.Jointly commissioned by the International Kong Hou Association and the Central Conservatory of Music,this music was premiered at the"New Works Concert of the Second Plucked Music Festival"at the Central Conservatory of Music and the young performer Su Chang played the Guzheng.In this music,the Guzheng is undoubtedly the protagonist,and the Composer imbued the Guzheng music with a conscious expression,sound creation,and aesthetic pursuit,which is highlight for writing contemporary new chapter with traditional ethnic instruments.This music starts from the Eastern imagery of"Cordyceps Sinensis",combines the typicality of the subject matter with the diversity of musical materials,uses a pioneering form of expression,presents the unique beauty of contemporary"Chinese music"on the stage of"world music",creates a unique"health music"and realizes the aesthetic expectations of both Eastern and Western music audiences at a high level.
