Analysis on surveillance results of health problems of primary and secondary school students in Tai'an City from 2019 to 2021
Objective To investigate the health status and common diseases among primary and middle school students in Tai'an City,and to provide basis for carrying out prevention and treatment of common diseases among students and formulating health intervention.Methods The surveillance data of common diseases of primary and middle school students of Tai'an City from 2019 to 2021 were collected.The relevant data were analyzed statistically by software SPSS 20.0.Chi-square test was conducted for rate comparison,and P<0.05 was considered to be statistically significant.Results The rate of malnutrition of primary and middle school students in Tai'an City showed a decreasing trend from 2019 to 2021(x2=163.04,P<0.001).The detection rates of poor eyesight,obesity and dental caries showed an increasing trend(x2=5 200.85,2 002.22,539.17,respectively,P<0.001).The detection rates of malnutrition,overweight and obesity in boys were higher than those in girls in each year from 2019 to 2021(x2 value ranged from 149.49 to 5 417.56,all P<0.001).Compared with boys,girls had higher detection rates of caries and poor vision(x2 value ranged from 775.44 to 1 455.58,all P<0.001).And the differences mentioned above were statistically significant.Conclusions The detection rates of common diseases among primary and secondary school students were still relatively high in Tai'an City.Relevant departments and schools should further take targeted prevention strategies to strengthen the prevention and control of common diseases such as poor eyesight,caries and nutritional status in primary and secondary school students.
