Comorbidity association network analysis of diabetic patients at a third class a hospital in Shandong Province based on electronic medical records
Objective To explore the comorbidity network of diabetes patients by mining their electronic medical record information,and to understand the comorbidity patterns of diabetes patients,so that to provide a scientific basis for the development of health policies in China.Method The electronic medical record information of patients mainly diagnosed with diabetes in Yantai Penglai People's Hospital from May 2019 to Feb.2022 was used as he data source,the other diagnostic information of diabetes patients in electronic medical records were used as nodes and the co-occurrence relationships between diseases in other diagnoses were used as edges,a comorbidity network map of diabetes patients was constructed and analyzed.Results A total of 2 510 diabetes diagnosis records were obtained.The comorbidity network of diabetes patients was divided into four clusters:diabetes and cardiovascular disease comorbidity network,diabetes and dyslipidemia comorbidity network,diabetes and comorbidity of anxiety/depression and osteoporosis,and diabetes and comorbidity of multiple diseases.Conclusions By analyzing the comorbidity network of diabetes patients of using other diagnostic data,the comorbidity combinations of diabetes are obtained,it provides different perspectives and feasible paths for medical professionals to make clinical decisions.
