Analysis of newly reported HIV-1 infections in Yibin City from 2018 to 2021
Objective To analyze the newly reported HIV-1(human immunodeficiency virus)infections in Yibin City from 2018 to 2021,and to provide scientific basis for adjusting the strategies and measures of AIDS(acquired immunodeficiency syndrome)prevention and control in Yibin City.Methods Newly reported HIV-1 cases in Yibin City in the odd-numbered months from 2018 to 2021 were collected for identification testing of new infections.SPSS software was used to conduct Chi-square test and binary logistic regression analysis of new infection rate and its influencing factors.P<0.05 was considered to be statistically significant.Results From 2018 to 2021,7 712 cases of HIV-1 infection were newly reported in Yibin City in the odd-numbered months,of which 932 were newly infected,with a new infection rate of 12.09%.Most cases were males,and the ratio of male to female was 2.49∶1.The majority were middle-aged and elderly people over 50 years old(accounting for 77.74%).The marital status was mainly married with a spouse(51.91%).The educational level was mainly primary school(58.60%).The infection route was mainly heterosexual transmission(98.57%).Conclusions The new infection rate of HIV-1 in Yibin City was relatively low in the whole province.Gender,age,marriage,route of transmission and sample source were the factors influencing new infections.It is the key and focus of HIV/AIDS prevention and control in Yibin City to continuously strengthen the comprehensive management,strengthen the detection and discovery of male population,especially the middle-aged and elderly men,and constantly improve the efficiency of traceability investigation.
