Research progress of etiological characteristics and diagnostic methods of zoonotic Chlamydia
Since the 21st century,zoonosis has become the focus of public health attention.Chlamydia is a kind of widely distributed,intracellular parasitic prokaryotic cytogenic pathogen with a unique biphasic development cycle.Some Chlamydia species can infect a variety of mammals,including humans,and birds,causing diseases of the eye,joint,respiratory system,nervous system and urogenital system,and even death if not cured in time,which poses a serious threat to animal products,human health and other public health security fields.This article reviewed the etiological,epidemiological and clinical characteristics and laboratory detection methods of zoonotic Chlamydia,in order to provide reference for the surveillance and prevention of zoonotic Chlamydia,and to provide guarantee for public health safety and healthy development of animal husbandry.
