Analysis of disease prevention and control and health education ability of chronic disease in Sichuan Provincial Disease Control and Prevention Institution
Objective To analyze the status of the prevention and control and health education ability of chronic disease of disease prevention and control institutions at all levels in Sichuan Province,and to provide the evidence for the promoting the prevention and control of chronic disease.Methods A questionnaire survey was used to collect the ability and work development of personnel related to chronic disease control and health education in centers for disease control and prevention(CDC)of Sichuan Province from 2017 to 2020,and the utilization rate and proportion were statistic ally described.Results By 2017,the prevention and control work of chronic disease were carried out in all CDCs of Sichuan Province,and 24.12％institutions had set up full-time departments,and 45.23％had set up part-time departments.In the province,total of 1 178 people were engaged in chronic disease prevention and control and health educators,accounting for 9.68％of the professional and technical personnel.Most of them were primary and below professional titles(55.14％)and medical majors(88.91％).And 33.30％and 11.60％of the regions had special funds for the prevention and control of chronic diseases in the budgets of the governments and the health administrative departments at the corresponding levels,and the funds received by the CDC at the city and county levels accounted for 0.57％and 2.09％of the total operational funds,respectively.In terms of personal ability,respondents participated in national academic conferences less than once and provincial and municipal academic conferences less than twice during 2018 to 2020.Provincial,municipal and county CDC personnel who published professional papers as the first author in the field of chronic disease prevention and control and health education accounted for 25.00％,11.25％,15.17％.Meeting communication of total respondents at all levels was 12.50％,8.75％and 5.79％,respectively.Conclusions The establishment of chronic disease prevention and control departments in provincial,municipal and county CDC institutions of Sichuan is not perfect,and the expenditure is less.The comprehensive quality and scientific research ability of chronic disease prevention and control personnel need to be improved.
