Relationship between awareness of hypertension knowledge and blood pressure control in hypertensive patients in Houma City in 2022
Objective To investigate the awareness of hypertension knowledge and its relationship with blood pressure control among hypertensive patients in Houma City,Shanxi Province,and to provide theoretical basis for developing hypertension prevention and control measures.Methods A multi-stage stratified random sampling method was used to select participants.And investigate the knowledge awareness of hypertension and blood pressure control of permanent hypertensive patients aged 18 years and above in Houma City,Shanxi Province in 2022.A questionnaire survey was conducted including demographic characteristics,hypertension knowledge,health-related behaviors and physical examination.SPSS 26.0 was used for Chi-square test and unordered multinomial logistic regression analysis,and the test level was α=0.05.Results In 2022,1 231 of 1 810 hypertensive patients in Houma City,Shanxi Province,were aware of hypertension knowledge,with an overall awareness rate of 68.12％.The number of people with normal blood pressure control was 988,with a control rate of 54.59％.After adjusting for confounding factors such as demographic characteristics,the unordered multinomial logistic regression analysis showed that.Hypertension patients without knowledge of hypertension were more likely to suffer from grade 1(OR:1.573,95％CI:1.268-1.952)and grade 2 hypertension(OR:1.622,95％CI:1.133-2.321).Conclusions Knowledge about hypertension has positive influence on blood pressure control.Attention should be paid to hypertension patients with low education level and family per capita income,and targeted health education should be carried out to improve the awareness of hypertension knowledge and blood pressure control of hypertension patients.
