Study on the epidemiological characteristics and disease burden of other infectious diarrhea in Neijiang City from 2010 to 2022
Objective To describe the epidemiological characteristics and estimate the disease burden of other infectious diarrhea in Neijiang City from 2010 to 2022,and to provide scientific basis for disease prevention and control.Methods The report cards of other infectious diarrhea in Neijiang City from 2010-2022 were derived from the China Disease Prevention and Control Information System.Epidemiological characteristics of diseases were analyzed by descriptive epidemiological methods.Annual reported incidence rates were compared by trend x2 test.The test level was α=0.05.Spatial statistics and data visualization were performed with ArcGIS(version 10.8).Results From 2010 to 2022,a total of 23 601 cases of other infectious diarrhea were reported in Neijiang City,with an average annual incidence rate of 49.33/105(41.67/105-81.32/105),showing an overall increasing trend(x2trend=258.39,P<0.05).Cases were reported all year round,with two peaks(summer and winter)in onset.The largest number of reported cases was 14 813(62.76%)in children aged 5 years and below,and the majority of cases were scattered children(15 642 cases,66.27%).The global Moran's I showed a spatial aggregation of infectious diarrhea from 2010 to 2022,with the LISA index suggesting that the"hot spots"were in most of the streets and towns in the central areas of Neijiang City and Dongxing district.The"cold spots"gradually changed from Longchang City to the north of Weiyuan County and the west of Zizhong County.The years lived with disability(YLD)were 34.20 person-years(2.10-3.42 person-years),and the average annual YLD intensity was 0.07 person-years/105.Conclusions There was an increasing trend in the reported incidence of other infectious diarrhea in Neijiang City,with a predominance of children under 5 years old,two peaks(summer and winter)and an increasing disease burden.
