Meta-analysis of the effects of health education intervention on quality of life and adverse mood in patients with ovarian cancer
Objective To study the effects of health education intervention on quality of life and bad mood of ovarian cancer patients, and to provide evidence-based nursing practice in the field of ovarian cancer rehabilitation. Methods Common English databases(PubMed,Embase,Medline)and Chinese databases(CNKI,Wanfang,VIP)were searched by search terms included"health education","ovarian cancer","ovarian neoplasms","randomized controlled trial",etc. The references of post-treatment intervention of ovarian cancer patients with health education(including guided health education, pathway health education, etc.)as the main intervention means were screened.Review Manager 5.3 software was used for meta-analysis,and u test(Z test)was used to judge whether there was statistical significance between the combined statistics.P value was calculated according to the u value, and α=0.05 was used as the test level. Results A total of 13 studies were included for meta-analysis,and 6 studies analyzed the cognitive scores of patients'disease-related knowledge. The results of fixed effect model analysis showed that Z=15.36,P<0.001.A total of 6 study outcome indicators included the overall health status score of patients, and the fixed effect model analysis showed that Z=16.45,P<0.001,and the difference was statistically significant. The SMD(standardized mean difference)value of the patients'anxiety score after combination was-0.85,and the 95%confidence interval was[-1.00 to-0.71].The fixed effect model was adopted, and the result was Z=11.58,P<0.001.The SMD value of the patients'depression score after combination was-0.81,and the 95%confidence interval was[-0.95 to-0.66].The fixed effect model was used, and the result showed that Z=10.99,P<0.001.Conclusions The implementation of health education after treatment for ovarian cancer patients can help to improve the quality of life of patients, relieve anxiety and depression and other adverse emotions, and improve patients'cognition of the disease, thus improving treatment compliance, which is worthy of further promotion.
