Analysis on the detection results of 4 kinds of chemical contaminants in local produced liquor in 6 regions of Sichuan Province in 2023
Objective To investigate the contamination status of four kinds of chemical contaminants in local produced liquor from 6 regions in Sichuan province, and to provide scientific evidence of regulatory policies development for liquor. Methods Lead, cyanides, methanol and 18 phthalate esters in 181 liquor samples from 6 regions in Sichuan province were determined in accordance with implementation plan of Sichuan province for food safety risk monitoring in 2023,and the results were analyzed and assessed in accordance with national food safety standards and other relevant documents. Results Lead was not detected in all samples. The detection rate and pass rate of methanol were 97.2%and 100.00%,respectively,and those of cyanides were 97.8%and 100.00%,respectively.Four phthalate esters including DBP,DEHP,DMP and DIBP were detected from 77.9%,12.1%,21.0%and 42.5%of the samples, respectively; For DBP,the over-standard rate was 9.4%,and the maximum detected content was 10.3mg/kg.Overall,both the detection rate and the over-standard rate of DBP were higher in bulk liquors than in packaged liquors. Conclusions In 2023,the overall qualified rate of local produced liquor in the 6 regions in Sichuan province in terms of lead, methanol, cyanides and phthalate esters was 90.6%.With the exception of DBP,levels of all determined chemical contaminants met requirements in national food safety standards or relevant documents;DBP in a few samples far exceeded the maximum permitted limit, suggesting that pertinent monitoring should be enhanced to ensure food safety for consumers.
