Analysis of the cost and affecting factors about surgical treatment of 420 patients with gallbladder stones
Objective To analyze the cost and affecting factors of surgical treatment for patients with gallbladder stones,to provide a reference basis for the reform of medical payment and control the rise of medical costs rationally.Methods Patients with gallbladder stones admitted to Taihe County People's Hospital of Anhui province,for surgical treatment during the period of April 2021-April 2023 were taken as the study subjects.T-test or ANOVA was used for single-factor analysis,and multiple linear regression was used for analysis of influencing factors.Results A total of 420 patients with gallbladder stones were included,202(48.1%)were male and 218(51.9%)were female.The average hospitalization cost was(5 531.7±2 004.7)yuan,with the highest proportion of drug costs(40.8%),followed by surgical costs(19.5%).Average cost for most items decreased from the previous year(all P<0.05).Multiple linear regression showed that the total hospitalization cost of female patients was lower than that of male patients(P=0.020).The total hospitalization cost of patients treated with cefuroxime for anti infection was lower than that of patients treated with antibiotics other than cefuroxime(P=0.035).The total hospitalization cost of patients using single-disease payment was lower than for those using itemized services payment(P=0.032).A the total hospitalization cost increased with the age,days of hospitalization(all P<0.001).Conclusions Average cost per visit for most items.Drug costs remain the main source of surgical treatment for patients.Gender,age,days of hospitalization,type of antimicrobial drug and payment method are the main influencing factors of the total hospitalization cost for patients with gallbladder stones.
