Analysis of plasma lipid and blood glucose monitoring results after 6 years of antiretroviral therapy in patients with HIV/AIDS hyperlipidemia
Objective To understand the metabolic status of blood lipid and blood glucose in HIV/AIDS(human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome)hyperlipidemia patients after ART(antiretroviral therapy)in Gansu Province, and to provide basis for adjusting clinical treatment strategies. Methods The blood lipid and blood glucose data of HIV/AIDS hyperlipidemia patients aged 18-65 years who were enrolled to receive ART in 2017 in Gannan,Linxia,Tianshui,Wuwei in Gansu Province in 2023 were collected.Statistical analysis was performed by SPSS 25.0,and P<0.05 was considered as statistically significant. Results A total of 400 patients with HIV/AIDS hyperlipidemia were monitored. In 2023,the average triglyceride was(4.01±3.37)mmol/L,the average total cholesterol was(6.37±2.99)mmol/L,and the average fasting blood glucose was(6.71±2.72)mmol/L.The differences in triglyceride and total cholesterol levels between men and women were significant(t=3.588 and 2.000,respectively,P<0.05).There were significant differences in triglyceride, total cholesterol, and fasting blood glucose levels among patients of different age groups(F=8.887,3.728 and 4.891,respectively,P<0.05).There were no significant differences in triglyceride and total cholesterol levels among patients with different CD4+T lymphocyte cell counts(F=2.069 and 1.865,respectively,P>0.05),but the differences in fasting blood glucose level was statistically significant(F=4.062,P=0.018).The difference in the proportion of hypercholesterolemia and hyperglycemia between men and women was statistically significant(x2=4.053 and 4.904,respectively,P<0.05).The proportion of hypercholesterolemia among patients of all ages was statistically significant(x2=9.145,P<0.05).The proportion of hypercholesterolemia in patients with different CD4+T lymphocyte cell counts was statistically significant(x2=7.937,P=0.019).Conclusions The main dyslipidemia among HIV/AIDS hyperlipidemia patients after ART was cholesterol increase in Gansu Province.Gender, age and CD4+T lymphocyte cell count had certain effects on it.
