Analysis on the current situation of bullying among middle school students in Xuhui District of Shanghai in 2023
Objective To investigate the current situation of bullying among in-school middle school students in Xuhui District,Shanghai and analyze its influencing factors,and to provide evidence for the prevention of bulling in adolescents.Methods From April to June 2023,in-school students from 7 middle schools,ordinary high schools and secondary vocational and technical schools in Xuhui District were selected to conduct a field questionnaire survey.The questionnaire covered general demographic information,experiences of bullying,health behaviors and so on.Univariate analysis and multivariate Logistic regression were used to explore the influencing factors of bullying among adolescents in Shanghai.The bilateral test level was α=0.05.Results The incidence of bullying among adolescents was 27.84％in Xuhui District.In the univariate analysis,there were differences in the prevalence of bullying among in-school middle school students of different ages,school types,smoking behaviors,drinking behaviors,and psychological problem statuses,and the differences were statistically significant(all P＜0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that female students and secondary vocational schools were protective factors of bullying,while smoking,drinking and serious psychological problems were risk factors of bullying.Conclusions The bullying situation of adolescents is related to many influencing factors,and it is necessary to conduct counseling from schools,familys and other aspects to face and deal with the psychological problems of adolescents,to prevent the occurrence of bullying and reduce the related harm.
