Survey and analysis on current situation of residents'acceptance of health education in Yuexiu district,Guangzhou city
Objective To understand the current status of health education among the residents of Yuexiu district,Guan-gzhou city,so as to provide a basis for further promoting the development of health education service programs in commu-nity health centers.Methods Two-stage sampling method was used to conduct on-site face-to-face questionnaire sur-veys among the residents of 7 out of 18 community health service centers in Yuexiu district,Guangzhou city.The main contents included the number of residents receiving health education,the basic situation of residents receiving health edu-cation services,and the content of residents receiving health education services(types,methods,frequency,convenience and satisfaction).Results A total of 450 questionnaires were issued in this survey,and 422 valid questionnaires were recov-ered,with an effective rate of 93.8%.There were 227 of them received health education services from the community health service centers,and the rate of residents receiving health education was 53.79%(227/422).The top 3 types of health education actually received by residents from the community health centers were chronic disease prevention and control,diet and nutrition,and infectious disease prevention and control,the top 3 types of health education expected to be received were diet and nutrition,chronic disease prevention and control,and healthy lifestyles.The residents received health education in terms of promotional materials(168 people,74.01%),frequency as sometimes(115 people,50.66%),convenience as relatively convenient(158 people,69.60%),satisfaction as satisfactory(188 people,82.82%),and satis-faction with their own health help(187 people,82.38%).Conclusion The rate of residents receiving health education in Yuexiu district of Guangzhou is not high,the type of health education residents expect to receive is not exactly the same as the type of health education services carried out by community health centers,and residents are more satisfied with the health education services provided by community health cen-ters.
