Analysis on sedentary status and influencing factors of civil servants
Objective To explore the sedentary status and perception of sedentary in the civil service population,to ana-lyze the factors affecting sedentary behavior,so as to provide a basis for improving the sedentary status of civil servants and improving their health level.Methods A sample of 320 civil servants from 3 civil service agencies in Jiangyang dis-trict,Luzhou city,Sichuan province,were surveyed to fill out questionnaires one-on-one offline,which contained informa-tion on the average daily sedentary time,perception of sedentary,etc.,and evaluated the detection rate of sedentary behav-iors of civil servants,the detection rate of serious sedentary behaviors,and the level of perception of sedentary.Logistic re-gression was used to analyze the influencing factors of sedentary behavior.Results The average daily sitting time of the subjects in the past week was(9.53±2.13)h,and the detection rate of sedentary behavior(sitting time≥2 h/d)was 96.15%(300/312).The detection rate of severe sedentary behavior(sitting time≥6 h/d)was 91.03%(284/312).The level of sedentary cognition was low in 210 individuals with a detection rate of 67.31%(210/312).The difference in the detection rate of low level of sedentary cognition among civil servants of different age(x2=40.168,P<0.05),BMI(x2=25.198,P<0.01),years of service(x2=8.01,P=0.04),and presence of severe sedentary behavior(x2=11.86,P<0.01)was statistically significant.Length of working>20 years(OR=5.97,95%CI:1.45-24.55,P=0.013)and low level of awareness of sedentariness(OR=16.96,95%CI:2.21-130.33,P=0.007)were the risk fac-tors for the emergence of severe sedentary behavior in civil servants.Conclusion Civil servants in Jiangyang district,Luzhou city,Sichuan province,had low levels of sedentary cognition and serious sedentary behavior.The>20 years of service and low levels of sedentary cognition were risk factors for developing serious sedentary behavior.
