Analysis on effect of antiretroviral therapy and drug resistance for 1 073 AIDS/HIV patients in Fuzhou city
Objective To discuss the effect of antiretroviral therapy(ART)and drug resistance for 1 073 AIDS/HIV pa-tients in Fuzhou city,so as to provide reference for further improvement of AIDS antiretroviral therapy. Methods A retrospective survey was conducted to collect the data of 1 073 HIV/AIDS patients who received antiviral treatment in Fuzhou city from January 2019 to December 2020.The CD4+T lymphocyte count, viral load and drug resistance of the pa-tients after antiviral treatment were evaluated, and the antiviral treatment effect, immune function and drug resistance were evaluated. Results Among the 1 073 cases, complete viral suppression was achieved in 798 patients(74.37%)through antiviral treatment.Treatment failure was observed in 39 cases(3.63%).A total of 411 patients(38.30%)exhibited nor-mal immune function. The CD4+T lymphocyte count and viral load exhibit a negative correlation(r,=-0.166,P<0.001).Among 39 patients who failed antiviral treatment, the incidence of drug resistance was 20.51%(8/39).The inci-dence of resistance to nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitors(NRTIs)and non nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibi-tors(NNRTIs)was 15.38%(6/39)and 17.95%(7/39),respectively.The incidence of multidrug resistance to NRTIs and NNRTIs was 12.82%(5/39).Conclusion The antiretroviral therapy in Fuzhou city has shown good efficacy, with an overall low occurrence rate of drug resistance.
