Monitoring results analysis of nitroimidazole drug residues in eggs and chicken from markets
Objective To understand the nitroimidazole drug residues in eggs and chicken from markets.Methods The residues of 5 nitroimidazole drugs in a total of 10 egg samples and 30 chicken samples,collected from farmers'markets and supermarkets in a city of Shandong Province between June and August 2021.Samples were determined by using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC-MS/MS).Results Drug residue was detected in 9 of 40 samples,the total detection rate was 22.50%.In terms of classification,drug residues were detected in 2 egg sam-ples,the detection rate was 20%.Metronidazole(124 μg/kg)was detected in 1 sample,the content of dimecnidazole was 214 μg/kg in the other one.Metronidazole(2.65 μg/kg)was detected in 1 sample of 30 chicken samples.Ronidazole was detected in 7 samples with the content ranging from 0.26 to 3.59 μg/kg.Conclusion The presence of nitroimidazole residues was detected in eggs and chicken samples sold within a city located in Shandong province.
