Analysis on influencing factors of nucleic acid negative conversion in 328 cases of COVID-19 infected with Omicron in Qingdao city
Objective To analyze the influencing factors of nucleic acid negative conversion in COVID-19 patients infected with Omicron,so as to provide scientific basis for the prevention and control of COVID-19.Methods All omicron-infec-ted patients in an outbreak of COVID-19 in Qingdao city,Shandong province in September 2022 were collected for investi-gation.According to the median time(10 days)of nucleic acid negative conversion, group A was defined as having a nucle-ic acid negative conversion time of≤10 days, and group B was defined as having a nucleic acid negative conversion time of>10 days. The demographic characteristics was analyzed between the 2 groups. The logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the factors affecting the time of nucleic acid negative conversion. Results The average age of 328 cases of O-micron infected patients was 28.63 years old.A statistically significant difference in age, gender, region, and vaccination dose were found between the 2 groups(x2=27.12,5.58,8.06,and 8.49,respectively,P<0.05).The results of multi-variate logistic regression analysis showed that age(OR=8.28,95%CI:2.58-26.65,P<0.01),rural areas(OR=2.35,95%CI:1.38-4.02,P<0.01),confirmed cases(OR=1.95,95%CI:1.13-3.36,P=0.02)were risk factors for prolonged nucleic acid conversion time.Vaccination with booster needle(OR=0.37,95%CI:0.20-0.68,P<0.01)was protective factor for prolonged nucleic acid conversion time. Conclusion The main factors affecting the nucleic acid neg-ative conversion time are the age of COVID-19 patients, residing in rural areas, confirmed cases and booster needle.
