Analysis on repetitive reporting and influencing factors of Hepatitis C cases in Zibo city from 2018 to 2022
Objective To explarg the occurrence of duplicate reports and influencing factors among the reported cases of hepatitis C in the case card management module of the Hepatitis C Prevention and Treatment Information System in Zibo city from 2018 to 2022,so as to provide a basis for strengthening epidemic monitoring and management.Methods Hep-atitis C cases in Zibo city from 2018 to 2022 were collected from the Hepatitis C Prevention and Control Information System of China Disease Control and Prevention In formation System,case cards with deleted cards as reporting errors or negative nucleic acid tests were excluded,cases with reporting errors or negative nucleic acid testing results were exclu-ded,while cases with duplicate records were retained.The re-report rate of hepatitis C cases were calculated,and a case-control analysis was conducted on variables such as age,occupation,patient category,case type,reporting unit classifica-tion,and reporting unit type.Results The repeated reporting rate of hepatitis C cases in Zibo city for the period 2018-2022 was 24.86%.The lowest repeated reporting rate in 2020 was 17.05%,and the highest in 2022 was 28.45%.The districts with the lowest and highest repeated reporting rates among reporting units were Gaoxin district(13.64%)and Boshan district(40.22%),respectively.The results of the multi-factor analysis showed that age between 31-60 years(OR=1.646,95%CI:1.035-2.618),occupation as unemployed(OR=1.534,95%CI:1.001-2.350),patient category as local cases(OR=2.217,95%CI=1.154-4.258),reporting case type as clinical diagnosis cases(OR=1.890,95%CI:1.434-2.490),and reporting unit classification as secondary or higher(secondary OR=2.659,95%CI:1.479-4.783;tertiary OR=2.623,95%CI:1.451-4.742)were associated with repeated reporting.Conclusion From 2018 to 2022,instances of duplicate reporting of Hepatitis C were observed across different years and regions within Zibo city,with repeated visits being the main cause.Infectious disease management personnel should pay special attention to local cases,individuals aged 31-60,retirees,and cases reported by secondary and higher-level hospitals when verifying duplicates.
