Advances in study of molecular identification technology of monkeypox virus
Monkeypox is a zoonotic disease caused by monkeypox virus(MPXV)infection.Since 2022,multiple countries around the world have experienced monkeypox outbreaks,which have shown a rapid spread trend.Therefore,it is particu-larly important to detect MPXV at the early stage of infection to take effective isolation measures and treatment in time to control the spread of the epidemic.Domestic and foreign scholars have established a variety of molecular detection tech-niques for the MPXV over recent years,mainly including polymerase chain reaction(PCR),real-time PCR(RT-PCR),multiple reai-time PCR(mRT-PCR),digital PCR(dPCR),and nucleic acid isothermal amplification technology.In this arti-cle,the technical principle,characteristics,application scenarios,advantages and disadvantages of MPXV molecular diag-nostic detection method were reviewed,with a view to providing new ideas for the detection of MPXV efficiently and accu-rately,and also providing references and suggestions for future research directions and prevention and control strategies of MPXV.
