Investigation and analysis on a novel coronavirus nucleic acid positive case of imported cold chain seafood packaging in Yantai city,Shandong province
Objective An epidemiological investigation was conducted on a novel coronavirus(COVID-19)nucleic acid positive event of a cold chain-related imported seafood product reported in Yantai city,Shandong province in 2020,so as to explore the experience of prevention and control of COVID-19 infection related to cold chain. Methods A COVID-19 nucleic acid positive event of a cold chain-related imported seafood product reported in Yantai city,Shandong province in August 2020.Key information such as whole chain tracking and investigation, virus traceability and personnel monitoring were analysed for epidemiological investigation and virus tracing analysis. Results It was reported that 18 outer packa-ging samples of imported frozen pollock products stored in 3 enterprises in Yantai city,Shandong province were suspected to be positive for the nucleic acid of COVID-19,and rechecked by Yantai City Centre for Disease Control and Prevention,3 samples were positive for the nucleic acid of COVID-19,while the remaining 15 samples were negative. All 191 close contacts were subjected to centralised isolation measures and serological tests, which were all negative; For 179 close con-tacts of close contacts, home quarantine and nucleic acid tests were arranged for all of them, and the test results were nega-tive.Conclusion Imported cold chain food has the risk of COVID-19 contamination, and the low temperature conditions of cold chain logistics and storage have increased virus retention. It is necessary to strengthen the monitoring of imported frozen products in the cold chain and the health management of cold chain workers to effectively prevent the spread of epi-demics.
