Analysis on changes in disinfection quality of kindergartens in Liaocheng city before and after COVID-19 epidemic
Objective To understand the changes in disinfection quality of kindergartens in Liaocheng city before and af-ter the COVID-19 from 2017 to 2022,so as to provide reference for further improving the level of infectious disease pre-vention and control in kindergartens.Methods From September to October 2022,a total of 683 samples were collected from 6 public kindergartens in 3 counties(cities,districts)of Liaocheng city,including 52 samples of indoor air,207 sam-ples of object surfaces,254 samples of staff hands and 170 samples of dining utensils.Total number of colonies were detec-ted by using the bacterial culture method.Taking the COVID-19 as the time point,the monitoring years were divided into 2 periods:before COVID-19(2017-2019)and after COVID-19(2020-2022),and the qualification rate of disinfection quali-ty was calculated.Results From 2017 to 2022,the overall qualification rate of disinfection quality in Liaocheng kinder-gartens was 89.31％(610/683),and the qualification rate of disinfection quality showed a rising trend year by year.There was a statistically significant difference in the qualification rate between years(x2=64.157,P＜0.05).The overall qual-ification rate of disinfection quality before and after the COVID-19 epidemic was 75.42％(181/240)and 96.84％(429/443),respectively.The qualification rate of post COVID-19 monitoring was higher than that before the COVID-19(x2=72.615,P＜0.05).The comparison of disinfection quality qualification rates among different monitoring items showed that the hand qualification rate of staff was the highest at 94.49％(240/254),followed by object surface(92.75％,192/207),air(80.77％,42/52)and tableware(80.00％,136/170).The difference in qualification rates was statistically signif-icant(x2=29.116,P＜0.05).Conclusion From 2017 to 2022,the disinfection quality of kindergartens in Liaocheng city was generally good.After the COVID-19 epidemic,the disinfection quality of kindergartens was greatly improved,but some areas,such as air and catering,were still weak.
