Research progress on meteorological factors affecting hand-foot-mouth disease
Hand-foot-mouth disease(HFMD)is a globally prevalent infectious disease caused by various enteroviruses. It is characterized by diverse transmission routes, rapid spread, high infectivity, and significant mortality rates.Currently, the health issues caused by HFMD have become an important public health concern that needs to be addressed. The impact of meteorological factors on the incidence and transmission of HFMD has gained increasing attention in academic research due to the increasingly evident phenomenon of global warming. This paper presents a comprehensive review of recent epi-demiological data on the association between meteorological factors and HFMD both domestically and internationally. It al-so examines the current research status regarding the impact of meteorological variables such as temperature, humidity, and wind speed on HFMD,as well as explores potential links with its etiology. The objective is to enhance the comprehen-sion of the impact of meteorological factors on HFMD,with the aim of providing theoretical underpinning for effective pre-vention and control measures against HFMD.
