Survey on awareness rate of syphilis prevention among 6 groups of people in Qingdao city,Shandong province in 2020
Objective To understand the awareness status of knowledge of syphilis prevention among 6 groups of people in Qingdao city,and to evaluate the effect of propaganda of the knowledge.Methods In 2020,a total of 10 785 people in 6 groups of people(including urban residents,rural residents,young students,floating populations,sex workers,men who have sex with men)in Qingdao city were surveyed face-to-face or via the Internet using a questionnaire uniformly compiled by the China CDC,and analysis was made on the awareness of syphilis prevention knowledge among different groups.Results The average knowledge rate of syphilis prevention was 92.62％(9 989/10 785),including 91.07％(1 367/1 501)for urban residents,89.45％(1 162/1 299)for rural residents,94.30％(2 002/2 123)for young students,87.13％(1 733/1 989)for floating population,95.90％(1 939/2 022)for sex workers and 96.49％(1 786/1 851)for men who have sex with men.The difference of syphilis awareness rate among 6 groups was statistically significant(x2=193.1,P＜0.05).The average awareness of syphilis transmission routes was 86.48％(37 308/43 140),it of the treat-ment was 87.08％(9 392/10 785),it of the precaution was 84.74％(18 279/21 570),and it of the relationship between syphilis and AIDS was 87.45％(9 431/10 785),the difference of 6 groups of people was statistically significant(x2=60.53,P＜0.05).Conclusion The awareness of syphilis prevention knowledge among 6 groups of people in Qingdao city in 2020 is relatively good,but the coverage of knowledge still needs to be further improved.
