Analysis on active surveillance results of sentinel hospitals for foodborne diseases in Tai'an city from 2020 to 2022
Objective To understand the infection status of foodborne diseases pathogens and epidemiological trends in Tai'an city,Shandong province from 2020 to 2022,so as to provide a scientific basis for formulating prevention and control measures.Methods Descriptive epidemiological method was adopted to analyze the cases reported from the Foodborne Diseases Active Surveillance Information System in Tai'an city from 2020 to 2022.Results A total of 1 294 samples were tested from 2020 to 2022,including 731 males(56.50%)and 563 females(43.50%),mainly consisting of children aged 0-3 years old(44.90%).The peak of the incidence was in the second quarter,with fruits and their products being the most commonly exposed food(516 cases,39.88%).The most risky packaging was bulk food including convenience pack-age(61.98%),and the exposed places were mainly at home(88.49%).There were 294 positive samples detected,with a positive rate of 22.72%.There was a statistically significant difference in the positive rate in different years(x2=13.553,P=0.001),and there was a significant difference in the total detection rates of Salmonella,Shigella and norovirus(x2=125.58,P=0.000).The norovirus detection rate(12.83%)was the highest.Conclusion The main pathogens causing foodborne diseases in Tai'an city from 2020 to 2022 are norovirus and Salmonella,with a focus on the 0-3 year old population.
