Study on current situation and countermeasures of disease vector control resources in Liaocheng city,Shandong province
Objective To investigate and analyze the current status of vector biological control resources in disease pre-vention and control institutions(Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,CDCs)in Liaocheng city,Shandong province,so as to provide a reference basis for further promoting the high-quality development of vector biological control work.Methods Expert discussions,questionnaire surveys and literature review were used to collect the information,work devel-opment,laboratory construction and other data of Liaocheng vector biological control professionals,and the data were sor-ted out by Excel 2010 software,and statistical analyzed by SPSS 23.0 software.Results The number of professional and technical personnel engaged in vector biological control in Liaocheng city accounted for only 4.53％of all employees(39/860),and the proportion of vector biological control technicians in Liaocheng municipal center for disease control and prevention was lower than that at the county level(x2=860.899,P＜0.05),the educational level was mainly bachelor's degree or above,only 5.13％of the education level was master's degree or above.The structure of professional titles was unreasonable,and the proportion of those without professional titles was as high as 35.90％.There were also problems such as unstable personnel,non-standard department settings,and insufficient laboratory equipment.The monitoring of vector organisms mainly focuses on ecological monitoring,and the ability to monitor drug resistance and etiology was in-sufficient.Training and scientific research capabilities were generally lacking.Conclusion The prevention and control of vector organisms in Liaocheng city needs to strengthen the construction of talent team and popular science on vector bio-logical control,improve the role of vector biological surveillance in the control of infectious diseases,strengthen social at-tributes,clarify the responsibilities of prevention and control institutions at all levels,and promote top-level design and multidisciplinary integrated development.
