Analysis on prevalence and risk factors of hypertension and diabetes among adults in Shanting district,Zaozhuang city
Objective To explore the prevalence and risk factors of hypertension and diabetes among adults in Shanting district of Zaozhuang city,so as to provide scientific basis for the formulation of chronic disease prevention and control pol-icies and measures.Methods In 2023,2 006 permanent residents ≥18 years of age in Shanting district,Zaozhuang city were surveyed by multistage stratified cluster random sampling,and questionnaire survey,physical measurements,and blood glucose tests were performed to analyze the prevalence of hypertension and diabetes mellitus,and multifactorial non-conditional logistic regression models were used to analyze the risk factors for the prevalence of hypertension and diabetes mellitus.Results The prevalence of hypertension among residents aged ≥ 18 in Shanting district of Zaozhuang city was 31.61％(634/2 006),and the prevalence of hypertension in men was higher than that in women(x2=15.682,P＜0.001);The prevalence of diabetes was 12.46％(250/2 006),and there was no significant difference in the prevalence of diabetes between sexes(x2=0.055,P=0.814);Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that older age(x2=131.943,P＜0.001),divorce,widowhood,separation(x2=6.689,P=0.010),overweight,obesity(x2=82.634,P＜0.001),diabetes(x2=15.988,P＜0.001),and family history of hypertension(x2=23.495,P＜0.001)were risk factors for hypertension,and women were protective factors for hypertension(x2=26.060,P＜0.00);ol-der age(x2=63.061,P＜0.001),hypertension(x2=18.769,P＜0.001)and family history of diabetes(x2=45.507,P＜0.001)were the risk factors for diabetes.Con-clusion The prevalence of hypertension and diabetes in Shan-ting district of Zaozhuang city is still at a high level.Age,gen-der,marital status,body mass,family history of hypertension and diabetes are the main influencing factors of hyperten-sion.Age,family history of diabetes and hypertension are the main influencing factors of diabetes.
