Bibliometric analysis on poultry and diabetes mellitus based on Web of Science
Objective To analyze the bibliometric characteristics of research literature in the field of poultry meat and dia-betes,so as to provide a theoretical basis for understanding global research trends and informing dietary guidelines for the population. Methods Based on Web of Science, the Bibliometrix package in R was used to analyze the distribution char-acteristics,cited references, hot keywords and thematic evolution of poultry and diabetes mellitus from 1990.Results A total of 112 articles regarding poultry and diabetes mellitus were published worldwide, with the earliest appearing in 1992.The United States led with 44 articles(38.94%),followed by China with 15 articles(13.27%).Harvard T.H.Chan School of Public Health and Harvard University each published 13 articles(11.50%),while Brigham and Women's Hospital contributed 8 articles(7.08%).The CoCitation Network analysis showed that the core citation network is connected through articles, such as Hu FB 2002-1 and Fung TT 2001-1,whose citation frequency was 12 and 11,and the betweenness was 276.797 150 00 and 153.594 311 20,respectively.The co-occurrence frequency of diabetes mellitus, risk, fat and coronary heart disease was 46,16,12 and 12,respectively.Conclusion The studies on the association between poultry and diabetes has witnessed a surge; The research institution of United States dominated the field of poultry and di-abetes mellitus.Although China ranks second, and have no dominant research institutions. The current hotspots are diabe-tes mellitus,broiler-chickens,fat,coronary-heart-disease.However,studies have failed to investigate this relationship inde-pendently at present.
