Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)had an a terrible fate for a hundred years.Significant changes had taken place from its external forms to its inherent characteristics.In TCM,the debate between ancient and present,Chinese and Western,soul and style,old and new,was apart of the cultural discussion,and the introduction of the debate's topic can be found in the cultural discussion.These debates were interrelated and interconvertible,mediated and guided by the theory of evolution,and run through the modern history of TCM.The tension between ancient and present,Chinese and Western,soul and style,old and new had made TCM continue to attract attention,and it continued to sway and progress amidst criticism.TCM finally withstood the impact,found the balance in these debates,gradually completed the transformation in modern history,and drove itself to modernization.
