Qian Jiyin and the Traditional Chinese Medicine Cultural Movement:A Discussion on the Concept of"Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture"during the Republic of China Era
The concept of"Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture"is not a well-established traditional notion.Rather,it is a new concept that emerged and developed in the 20th century alongside the introduction of concepts of"civilization"and"culture"into China.This study analyzes a particular"Traditional Chinese Medicine Cultural Movement"led by Qian Jiyin as a case study from the 1930s.It examines the strategies employed by the Traditional Chinese Medicine Book Bureau directed by Qian Jiyin in promoting the construction of"Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture",thereby exploring the differing perceptions of"Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture"within modern Chinese academia,the methods of promoting Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)culture,as well as the relationship between"Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture"and TCM identity recognition.
