摘要

中国北方部族的"天神"为一集体称号,但已发展出至高天神的观念,即"天".匈奴以祭天金人、平城时代的拓跋鲜卑以木主、契丹以神位和神树作为天神的代表,女真、蒙古、满族无天神代表形式,是以神杆悬牲上达于天,蒙古族又以洒马湩的仪式祭天.各部族祭天礼拜方向与其对于"天"的理解以及表达方式有关.在祭天礼拜时,拓跋鲜卑、契丹是取世俗的尊位以居天神并面对之,蒙古族、满族则是直接面对天神所自在的位置.女真存在东向拜天的事例,但其祭天礼拜方向难以定论.古代蒙古族同样存在东向拜天的事例,现代蒙古族有东向、西南向、西向、乃至向四面八方祭天者,可据以考察古代蒙古族祭天礼拜方向的多样性.

Abstract

The"God"of tribes in northern China is a collective title,but the concept of the Supreme God,namely"heaven",has been developed.The Xiongnu worshiped the golden man in heaven,Tuoba Xianbei in Pingcheng era,the wooden Lord and Khi-tan took the divine throne and divine tree as the representatives of the gods,and Nuzhen,Mongolia and Manchu had no representa-tives of the gods,reaching the heaven with a divine pole,and the Mongols worshipped the heaven with a ceremony of sprinkling a horse.The worship direction of each tribe is related to its understanding and expression of"heaven".During the worship,Tuoba Xianbei and Khitan took the secular position to live and face the gods,while Mongols and Manchus directly faced the comfortable position of the gods.There are instances of Nuzhen worshiping heaven from the east,but it is difficult to determine the direction of its worship.The ancient Mongols also had examples of worshiping heaven from the east.Modem Mongols even worshiped from all directions,which can be used to investigate the diversity of worship directions of ancient Mongols.
