The change of cave building space is one of the manifestations of the localization of foreign Buddhism. In the mid-period Yungang Grottoes, the layout of the oval and dome roof of Tanyao Five Grottoes was changed, and a single wood-like structure was built in the front corridor and back room.Cave 6 completely presents the ground temple group buildings, the front tower and back hall, and the cloister and hall form a closed temple,In the middle period, the cave shape gradually developed from the imitation of single buildings to the imitation of group buildings. The grotto plane also has a unique layout of front and back circles. This layout combines the oval plane in the early period and the square plane in the middle period of Yungang Grottoes. It is the product of the development of grotto architecture to a certain stage, which has greatly promoted the process of the localization of Buddhism in China.
