There are abundant unearthed documents such as steles and statues in Henei,which is located between Yecheng and Luoyang.Several inscriptions related to the Shang Clan in the Northern dynasty reflect the development of the Shang Clan in Jijun county.They are important historical materials for understanding the clans in Henei in the Northern dynasty,and can make up for the lack of handed down documents to a certain extent.Through these inscriptions,the distribution map of Shang Clan in Jijun county in the Northern dynasty can be roughly outlined.Thanks to Emperor Xiaowen's assessment of the local"Zuwang"(族望)and"Min-wang"(民望)in the process of determining the surname,through the statue and stele building activities,the Shang Clan in Jijun county not only prayed for the family,expressed the Buddhist faith,but also expressed the national identity by thanking the rulers,further strengthened the clan cohesion,raised the clan reputation,and finally established the status of the Shang Clan in Jijun county in the Northern dynasty.
