Degradation Characteristic of Sodium Chloride Flotation Collector Dodecyl Morpholine in Qarhan Salt Lake with Carbon Nitride Photocatalyst
Dodecyl morpholine(DMP)remained in the tail brine of sodium chloride in Qarhan Salt Lake is difficult to be effectively removed.Porous graphite phase carbon nitride(mpg-C3N4)was adopted as the tar-get photocatalyst to degradation of DMP Flotation Collector.Besides, the influence of high concentration in-organic salts such as NaCl,KCl and MgCl2 in salt lake brine on mpg-C3N4 photocatalyst was also systemati-cally investigated. The results showed that the existed inorganic salts had a significant effect on the degrada-tion process, and high concentration of NaCl promoted the photocatalytic degradation rate of mpg-C3N4.When the concentration of NaCl 80 g/L,the degradation rate of DMP increased by 20.59%compared with no NaCl.KCl can also partially promote the degradation rate at low concentration, and when KCl concentra-tion was 25.5 g/L,the degradation rate of DMP increased to 3.71%compared with no KCl.However, the MgCl2 in the system had a greater inhibition on mpg-C3N4 photocatalytic degradation of DMP.When the concentration of MgCl2 was 65.2 g/L,the inhibition rate of DMP degradation rate reached 44.90%com-pared with no MgCl2.Finally,the free radical quenching test confirmed that the main active species of pho-tocatalytic degradation of DMP was·O-2,followed by·OH.Through in-depth comparison and characteriza-tion analysis of products of DMP before and after photocatalytic degradation, the results showed that the characteristic peaks of main groups in dodecyl morpholine molecules almost disappeared after photocata-lytic degradation, which indicated that DMP molecules were effectively destroyed and degraded, and most intermediate products and small molecular products were also effectively decomposed and mineralized.
