Demulsifier is one of the essential chemical agents in the process of petroleum exploitation.This article introduces the synthesis and application of various types of multi-branched polyether demulsifiers,providing reference for the future research and development.The multi-branched polyether demulsifiers are the tree-shaped multi-branched crude oil demulsifiers,star-shaped multi-branched crude oil demulsifiers and comb-shaped silicon-containing multi-branched crude oil demulsifiers.Rel-evant studies have shown that the comb-shaped multi-branched silicon-containing polyether has good low-temperature demulsifica-tion for crude oil and has broad research and application prospects.
