Study on Synthesis of Trimethylsilyl Terminated Phenylsiloxane Oligomers
The trimethylsilyl terminated phenylsiloxane oligomers with a viscosity of 19-30 mm2 / s and a refractive index of 1. 458-1. 462 were synthetized, with phenyltrimethoxysilane and hamethyldisiloxane as the main raw materials. The effects of the factors on product viscosity, yield, and methoxy residues have been investigated, including M/ T ratio, reflux time, distillation temperature. The optimal synthesis conditions are determined as follows: M/ T ratio is 2. 05, reflux for 6 hours, and evaporate at 110 ℃ for 3 hours. Thus the oligomer is a colorless, odorless, with a maximum yield of 92. 3%, viscosity of 19. 8 mm2 / s, and refractive index of 1. 463.
