Silicone materials are used in various medical applications due to their excellent mechanical property,heat resist-ance,biocompatibility,and chemical inertness.At the same time,additive manufacturing technology(or 3D printing)makes it possible to shape the complex structures or personalized customization of the silicone products.It provides an overview progress of 3D printing technology in recent years,and investigates the development status,synthesis principles,and molecular structure de-sign of 3D printing silicone.It summarizes the successful medical cases of 3D printing silicone in medical fields such as medical implants,osteology,soft robots,dentistry and plastic surgery.Finally,it analyzes and looks forward to the technical difficulties and development trends in the field of 3D printing silicone.
