Preparation and Characterization of Methylphenylcyclosiloxanes
Methylphenylcyclosiloxanes was synthesized by hydrolysis condensation, pyrolysis, and distillation with methyl-phenyldimethoxysilane as the raw material, sodium hydroxide as the catalyst, and lithium hydroxide as the cracking catalyst. The structure and composition of synthetic products were characterized by FT-JR,time-of-flight(TOF)mass spectrum and GC,and the influence of catalyst types and content on the yield of methylphenylcyclosiloxanes was explored. The results indicate that methylphenylcyclosiloxane has been successfully synthesized, whose main components are D3Ph,D4Ph and D5Ph,besides D6Ph and D7Ph.The optimal catalyst for pyrolysis is lithium hydroxide(0.05wt%)and the product reaches the yield of 91%.
