A study on correlation between professional identity and interest among undergraduate nursing interns under the background of the epidemic
Objective To comprehensively analyze correlation between professional identity and professional interest of undergraduate nursing students under the background of the epidemic,so as to explore methods to improve professional iden-tity of undergraduate nursing students.Methods From April to June 2022,370 undergraduate nursing students from 5 na-tional comprehensive three A-level hospitals in Luzhou city were randomly selected as study subjects,and survey analysis was conducted using self-developed general data questionnaire,nursing professional identity scale,and occupational interest questionnaire.Results The total professional identity score of undergraduate nursing students([110.40±5.14]points)was in the middle state,and the three types of professional interest included realistic type([10.46±0.51]points),social type([10.28±0.77]points)and traditional type([10.41±0.52]points)were positively correlated with professional iden-tity.Conclusion Under the background of the epidemic,the level of professional identity of undergraduate nursing students is low.In the course of nursing teaching,diversified professional teaching strategies should be adopted,with a focus on culti-vating the vocational interests of undergraduate nursing students and continuously enhancing vocational recognition education,which is conducive to the proactive and positive transformation of nursing students towards vocational recognition.
