Renal fibrosis is the final outcome of many renal diseases,so delaying the process of renal fibrosis is particularly impor-tant for the treatment of renal diseases.CD248 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein,which is up-regulated in renal fibrosis.The knockdown of CD248 can inhibit renal fibrosis,suggesting that CD248 may play an important role in the process of renal fibrosis.This article will review the relevant roles of CD248 in renal diseases.
