Analysis on clinical value of N-terminal-pro-brain natriuretic peptide in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and cor pulmonale
Objective To investigate the clinical value of N-terminal-pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP)in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)complicated with chronic cor pulmonale. Methods A total of 120 patients with COPD complicated with cor pulmonary admitted to hospital from January 2017 to January 2022 were retrospectively se-lected as study subjects, and COPD patients without cor pulmonary in the same period were selected as controls. And then, relevant clinical data were collected, and logistic regression analysis was used to analyze risk factors affecting COPD compli-cated with pulmonary heart disease.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to evaluate the predictive value of related risk factors for COPD complicated with cor pulmonary. Results Logistic regression analysis showed that the in-creases of right atrial transverse diameter, pulmonary artery pressure, and NT-proBNP level were independent risk factors for COPD complicated with cor pulmonale(P<0.05).The area under the ROC curve of right atrial transverse diameter,pulmo-nary artery pressure, and NT-proBNP in predicting COPD complicated with pulmonary heart disease was 0.899,0.944,and 0.920,respectively.Conclusion The transverse diameter of right atrium, pulmonary artery pressure, and NT-proBNP have high guiding value in the prediction of COPD complicated with cor pulmonale, which can be used as reference indexes in the diagnosis and treatment of COPD complicated with cor pulmonale, and should be paid attention to.
