Investigation on screening compliance status and influencing factors of people who have already given birth in thalassemia high prevalence area
Objective To investigate the status quo and influencing factors of thalassemia screening compliance among people who have already given birth in thalassemia high prevalence areas,and to propose corresponding measures to improve the screening compliance of thalassemia in child-bearing population.Methods From March to November 2023,question-naire survey and interview were used to investigate people who had already given birth in Baise area,and 13 of them were in-terviewed.Results The screening rate of thalassemia among people who had already given birth was 59.17% ,the aware-ness rate of thalassemia among whom did not undergo thalassemia screening was only 44.90% ,only 48.98% of them were a-ware of their own family histories of thalassemia,only 34.69% of them were aware of their partners'family histories of thalas-semia,and only 42.86% of them were aware of thalassemia assistance policies.Conclusion In order to improve screening compliance of child-bearing population,it is necessary to establish a sound screening service system and institutional guaran-tee,and to improve their willingness and cognitive levels to participate in the screening.
