Clinical study of internal heat acupuncture combined with infrared thermography in the treatment of neck and shoulder syndrome
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of internal thermal acupuncture combined with infrared thermog-raphy in the treatment of neck and shoulder syndrome. Methods 80 patients with neck and shoulder syndrome admitted to hospital from January to December 2022 were selected as research subjects. They were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, with 40 cases in each group. Both groups received infrared thermography assisted treatment. The treat-ment group were treated with internal thermal acupuncture, and the control group were treated with warm acupuncture. And then, symptom and sign score, visual analogue scale score,Northwick Park neck pain scale score,UCLA shoulder joint score, clinical efficacy, and adverse effects of the two groups were compared. Results Compared with the control group, the treatment group had lower scores of symptoms and signs, visual analogue scale, and Northwick Park neck pain scale on the day of treatment completion and 1 month after treatment, and the UCLA shoulder score was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05 or 0.001).The total effective rate of the treatment group was 92.50%,and that of the control group was 75.00%,and the total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Internal thermal acupuncture combined with infrared thermography has obvious effect in the treatment of neck and shoulder syndrome, which can effectively improve clinical symptoms and signs, alleviate pain, and has high safety.
