Investigation and research on the popularization of basic knowledge of food safety and related preventive and first aid measures in Shijiazhuang City
Objective To investigate the knowledge of Shijiazhuang residents on basic knowledge of dietary safety and related preventive and first aid measures,so as to provide effective and feasible suggestions and theoretical basis for health departments to formulate national safe and healthy diet plans,diet-related preventive and first aid training,etc.Methods Using a combination of online questionnaires and offline field research,1045 local residents of Shijiazhuang were selected as research subjects by multi-stage sampling method,and single factor and multiple linear regression analysis were used to ana-lyze the factors affecting dietary safety awareness,and the number of cases(percentage)was used to describe the knowl-edge,attitude,and behavior of the survey subjects.Results Gender,education levels,occupation,income,whether or not they participated in food safety knowledge education,location of family life were the main factors affecting the awareness rate.Women have higher awareness scores than men;the higher the cultural level,the higher the awareness score;medical students,those who were engaged in medical treatment and health service,and personnel in food and catering industry had higher awareness scores;people with an income of more than 5000 yuan and those who had participated in food safety knowl-edge education had higher awareness rate;the awareness rate of urban residents was higher than that of rural residents(all P<0.05).The awareness rate of basic knowledge of food safety and related prevention and first aid measures of Shijiazhuang residents needed to be improved,and the mastery rate of Heimlich first aid method was low.Conclusion The residents of Shijiazhuang have a general understanding and awareness of basic knowledge of food safety and related preventive and first aid measures.Therefore,it is necessary to strengthen the publicity,education and training of relevant first aid measures to fur-ther improve the basic knowledge of food safety and the level of relevant preventive and first aid measures among residents.
