Expression levels of HMGB1 in rats with myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury:a meta-analysis
Objective To conduct a meta-analysis on the expression levels of high mobility group box1(HMGB1)in rats with myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury(MIRI).Methods Relevant articles were searched in PubMed,Embase and China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)databases, and a total of 16 articles were finally included.Sample size, mean and standard deviation of sham operation group, model group and pretreatment group were extracted from these articles.SYRCLE animal experiment risk assessment tool was used for methodological quality evaluation, and Stata12.0 software was used for meta analysis. Results The expression levels of HMGB1 in the MIRI rat model group were significantly higher than those in the sham operation group(SMD=8.66,95% CI:6.49-10.82,P<0.001).The expression levels of HMGB1 in the MIRI rat pretreatment group were significantly lower than those in the model group(SMD=-3.33,95% CI:-4.22 to-2.44,P<0.001).Subgroup analysis showed that different pretreatment methods might lead to heterogeneity.Sensitivity a-nalysis showed that meta-analysis results were more reliable, while funnel plot showed a existence of publication bias.Con-clusion The expression levels of HMGB1 in MIRI rats are increased, and treatment can reduce the expression levels of HMGB1 in MIRI rats.
